The Beautiful Andaman

Now it must be almost two years… or maybe three years back when I took a break from my monotonous life to chill out in the beaches of Goa. What actually captured my mind was the extra green surroundings and the mad sea. It was beautiful to see the dark sea hit the rocks with all force while feeling the rain. It was nature at its best I thought. The roaring seas, lush green surroundings and a small beautiful waterfall – things can’t get better. (check my post “a rainy paradox”).

Little had I known that the best was yet to come in my life. Last month we took another break from our lives. I was skeptical about the trip as I did not really think it was worth travelling so far just to visit a small group of islands at the juncture of Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. But my father was adamant about visiting the island territory so we packed our bags.

The nearly isolated island fascinated me almost instantly. The pristine sea beaches and serene greenery must have been a replica of the paradise itself. Each island had its own charm and was different from the other.

and  the picturesque Chidiya Tapu at Port Blair was serene and specially more charming during the sunset time.

 

And yes I forgot to mention, it was also my first journey in a cruise! The 57km journey from Port Blair to Havelock was a memorable one.

 

 

 

It was nice… take a further look into some pictures taken from the ship when we halted very shortly in some Neil Island

 

Well if you are a shopaholic you might not find this post very interesting. Due to less population you won’t get many decent shops but you do get good coral material there

 

However we did have connectivity problems. We were completely cut off from the world without mobile connection but that is another story .

from my childhood i have always loved collecting a variety of pens.... after i entered the world of computers i hardly need them. but today when i was looking into my stuffs i found this and realized that i haven't taken a single picture of my childhood pal :)


so here is a picture of my pen pal ;)

My First Project

After ten months of continuous hard work (at movie theatres, restaurants and other places) we were rewarded with a new mentor. It wasn’t a punishment. Our college probably wanted to keep all our professors busy and our new mentor was new. We gave our best to the project in all the ten months but our new mentor rubbished them all. He was a wise man after all.  So at the end of twelve months I am giving you a project that was completed in forty five days . This project is nothing but a mixture of my sleepless nights and ignorance.  (personal advice —late night work is bad in the field of art )

 

And yes… this project would not be even near this stage without our new mentor, Mr. Subharanjan Basumallick sir’s continuous help and support. I agree there were problems but I thank him for showing us our ultimate goal and helping us throughout the project. I am also grateful to him for making me repeat my work for the sake of perfection. He not only helped me complete my project but also helped me learn many new things with it.  Without him we would probably be project less. ( our ten months’ hard work was actually nothing compared to our forty five days’ work )

 

Of course I might be belittling myself showing all of you(who are accustomed only to Pixar animations)  my first project --  a poor student’s project. But I can’t help being proud of myself for completing the project on time. I am also grateful to my group members for their support My contribution was exceptional though .

You might be thoroughly disappointed after seeing the above video, but the optimist inside me tells me that you are waiting for my next torture .

A stretch of gold.... it is high time people should stop polluting these sacred rivers and realize the true value of nature's gift.
